Review: BarbecueCalc

bbqcalc

So I'm a recent convert to the iPhone.  I've been using an iPod Touch for over a year and it really whet my appetite for the iPhone.  Once my contract expired, I was pretty quick to pull the trigger on the iPhone and eliminate the need to carry an extra device for music, video, etc.

Although I've been using the iPod Touch, I hadn't really explored the App Store in iTunes much.  Well, imagine my surprise when I discovered a number of BBQ & Beer related apps in the App Store.

I installed BarbecueCalc to have a look at what's out there.  This is a very simple application that doesn't do much more than give you some guidance on how much meat, fish, sausage, bread, beverage, or wine you'll need for your BBQ party.  I would consider this more an example of the kinds of things that are possible with an iPhone app rather a serious application. But it's kind of neat nonetheless and it is free.

Cheers,
Braddog
